As I mentioned in yesterday’s 7 Quick Takes, I’m discontinuing 7 Quick Takes and introducing (drum roll, please…) Seven Snippets Linkup! I may be the only person participating, but no matter – the seven random Friday thoughts feature will live on! Many thanks to Conversion Diary for her inspiration.
If you WOULD like to participate, come back on Friday morning – or anytime during the week – for the linky (I’ll put it up early). I’ve also provided some tools below for you to use that I hope will make it easier for you to create your own Seven Snippets posts.
Option #1: Use a Post Template
I’ve created an HTML template that includes both the Seven Snippets button image and numbered dividers for each section. To use the template, follow these instructions:
- Click on this link.
- Highlight everything and copy it.
- Paste it into the HTML editor on your blogging platform.
- Insert your own text in the template where it says to substitute.
If you’d like to download the text file to your computer for future reference, you can do so (it’s a .txt file).
Option #2: Grab the Button and Create Your Own Post
Below is the code for the image ONLY. Just choose the size you want (either 180×180 or 250×25), highlight the text inside the box, and paste into your post. Note: If you use the template in option #1, you won’t need to grab the button code below, because the text template already includes the 250×250 button (the size I am using).
For a button that’s 250×250 pixels (shown above), copy and paste the following code:
<p style=”text-align: center;”><a href=”http://www.bringingthesunshine.com/tag/seven-snippets”><img title=”SevenSnippetsButton” src=”http://www.bringingthesunshine.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/SevenSnippetsButton.March2012.png” alt=”" width=”250″ height=”250″ /></a></p>
For a button that’s 180×180 pixels (shown above), copy and paste the following code:
<p style=”text-align: center;”><a href=”http://www.bringingthesunshine.com/tag/seven-snippets”><img title=”SevenSnippetsButton” src=”http://www.bringingthesunshine.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/SevenSnippetsButton.March2012.png” alt=”" width=”180″ height=”180″ /></a></p>
I’m looking forward to reading YOUR Snippets each week!

Welcome! My name is Andi.
I'm an ordinary mom with extraordinary kids, living an ordinary yet extraordinary life. Join me as I navigate the waters of life with a daughter with cerebral palsy, a son with Down syndrome, an adventurous husband, a wild Westie, a rescued Schnoodle, a camera, and a worn out pair of running shoes.
Sarah Kate was our miracle baby, born too early and way too small for comfort. She was a fighter from Day One and doesn't know the meaning of quit. Oh, and she's hilarious to boot.
The name Nathan is derived from Nathaniel, which means "gift from God" and he is just that - in more ways that one. He's joyful, devious, sneaky, and yes, his eyes really are that blue.
Mr. Andi is pretty visible in real life, so he prefers to keep a lower profile online. He is an avid reader of the blog, so I'm taking a chance that he won't notice that I've put his photo up! Mr. Andi loves anything outdoorsy - fishing, hunting, you name it.

I’ll be including a few reminders in my daily posts this week – I look forward to both of you joining me!
I’m joining in tomorrow. Be warned – very random snippets ahead.
