Comment Policy

Bringing the Sunshine is a place for people to share, learn, teach, and be inspired – I encourage conversation and appreciate feedback. In order to keep this a sunny place, I’ve got a few rules. Posting here tells me that you acknowledge and agree to the following conditions:

  • I don’t expect everyone to agree with me, and I welcome differing viewpoints. I do ask that you disagree without being disagreeable. Everyone deserves respect.
  • It’s my blog and I’ll delete if I want to. The First Amendment grants you the right to say whatever you want to your spouse, family member, or friend, and you can even stand in the street and yell it in the direction of my house. But just as I can choose not to invite you inside to yell at me in my home, I don’t have to allow you to yell at me or others on my blog. I reserve the right to delete comments that, in my sole opinion, are libelous, defamatory, abusive, harassing, threatening, profane, pornographic, offensive, false, misleading, or which otherwise violate or encourage others to violate my sense of decorum and civility or any law, including intellectual property laws; or appear to be “spam.”
  • Commenters are solely responsible for the content they post here. I do not own any comments not written by me and I expressly disclaim any and all liability that may result from them. By commenting on my site, you agree that you retain all ownership rights in what you post here and that you will relieve me from any and all liability that may result from those postings.
  • You grant me a license to post your comments. This license is worldwide, irrevocable, non-exclusive, and royalty-free. You grant me the right to store, use, transmit, display, publish, reproduce, and distribute your comments in any format, including but not limited to a blog, in a book, or a presentation.

I appreciate each and every individual who contributes to the conversation here in an honest and caring way. I want your feedback and I want you to encourage both me and other readers of this blog to think. However, I also want Bringing the Sunshine to be a sunny place where all are welcome and all feel comfortable about posting, even if what they have to say may be controversial.
